Checkers has been a popular and famous game during the past few centuries. It has been observed that most of the people during their free time love to play checkers. In Europe this game is also called draught or jeu force. But however in USA and in other parts of North America this game is known as checkers. Playing checkers is really easy but still it is advisable to learn on how to play checkers. This article would surely help you out in learning checkers.
The first step that needs to be when playing the checkers is that you need to flip a coin which will decide how will perform the first turn. Whosoever wins the toss performs the first turn. However the first player who wins the toss often chooses the red side. Afterwards, on the side of the red player you need to place all the checkers. You need to place single red checker on each and every black box appearing in the first third rows of the board. In the same way you need to place one checker on the black side as well and it must be done in a similar way. However to make sure that every checker is placed perfectly you can see that there must be twelve checkers on both the sides and you must also make sure two rows are left empty in the middle as well.
As you make sure that each and every checker is placed perfectly, now it is time to start the game. The red player will start the turn by moving one of the checkers. The checker can be moved diagonally and in no other position. In this way one by one both of the players will make their turn and will plot the checkers in such a way that it can get them victory. If you need to remove your opponent checker than it is must for you to move your checker over your opponents checker and thus put your checker on the opposite square. After doing this, you can jump over the opponent checker and thus remove it. Finally the player who will remove all the checkers first would be considered as the winner. However at certain stages the player who blocks the checkers of the opponents also wins the game. So in this way you can easily learn the checkers and can play and get the victory.
